In September 1984 work started on the construction of a retention tank for the Muswell Stream Flood Relief Scheme.

A fact sheet about the project was distributed to residents in January 1985, including a plan of the overall scheme and some information on the quantities of materials used for the tank with some interesting comparisons.

Elaine Norman, a local resident who saw it all happen and kept the documentation took some pictures which show the the excavation and construction work.
