Welcome to Woodside Park

'The parks are the lungs of London'  William Pitt

This site is run by Friends of Woodside Park, Wood Green, London N22

The traditional jazz picnic will be held on Sunday, 31 August 2-7 pm

WOODSIDE PARK is situated to the North East of the borough, on the High Road from Wood Green leading towards Palmers Green.

The Friends of Woodside Park  was founded in December 1999  The aim of the Friends group is the regeneration of our local green space.  We want to make the park more attractive to local residents.  We have planted trees, new borders and won lottery funding to buy new benches and bins.  The park contains two of Haringey¹s historic buildings: Woodside House, formerly Wood Green Town Hall, and the Mushroom House, Wood Green¹s oldest building and formerly the lodge to Chitts Hill House (demolished in the 1890's).

Our annual Jazz Picnic and Folk Dance in the hollow behind the Mushroom House is proving to be an increasingly popular summer fixture for local residents.

We are federated to the borough-wide Forum of Haringey Friends' Groups, and hold regular meetings at Bruce Castle Museum.
